Anger Management – Conflict Transformation Technique

A Beautiful Example of Anger Management and Conflict Resolution in Gaza

This image of a Palestinian woman, using metal casings to grow flowers, is a powerful and moving practical example of a conflict transformation initiative.

Anger management - Planting flowers instead of bombsIn the recent fighting in Gaza, and with the loss of lives when planes fell out of the sky, the media responded with surprise as they discovered that families and friends of those who have died did not respond with anger and vengeance to supposed or alleged perpetrators. Their focus was on love, anger management and peaceful conflict resolution. Something we can all be inspired by.

When we hurt another, We hurt ourselves!

When we hurt another what are we really doing?

Life is a mirror – when we hurt another we are really hurting ourselves as they are a reflection of an aspect of self

We are all reflections of each other, and how we individually and collectively think and feel about the world around us, mirrors who we are.

when we hurt another we hurt ourselves - This child is your child, my child and our child!

This child is your child, my child and our child!

What we do to others, we do to ourselves. What happens to another, happens to us! So what are we really doing when we hurt another person? This esoteric truth is explained beautifully in the following quote from Jeff Foster:

“As consciousness itself, when we hurt another, we are only hurting our own brothers and sisters, our own kin, waves of ourselves. We are only fighting reflections of our original Face. We are only killing the ones we love, ancient friends from long ago. Outer war has never led to inner peace. How much more bloodshed? How much more pain? How many more men, women and children must disappear into infinity before we wake up? That bleeding child is my own. The circle of life takes no ‘sides”……..(Excerpt from ‘Falling In Love With Where You Are’)

How to Construct  a Medicine Wheel, and do a Vision Quest for Prayer and Ceremony

A Vision Quest is a ritual of the indigenous people of North America that was traditionally taken as a rite of passage by young men.

It involves going into the wilderness, locating a personal power spot, and constructing a Medicine Wheel – using natural objects like stones, feathers, shells, twigs to mark the Four Directions and Four Elements of – earth, air, fire and water. After the Medicine Wheel is complete, the ‘initiate’ sits in its centre and formulates a question. The question may be about a current problem or situation, a task to be done, a journey to be undertaken or a decision to be made. It may also focus on the initiate’s life journey – their path, their higher purpose, their strengths and weaknesses. Whatever the question is, once formulated, the initiate releases it to the higher realms and then meditates and prays in the Medicine Wheel while waiting for insight. New Crop Circle Arrives in Italy

A Heavenly Solstice Gift has Arrived – in the Form of a New Crop Circle

Italy is not always known for placement of crop circles but this new crop circle changes that

It is significant because this new crop circle arrived on the date of the European Summer Solstice when the cosmic alignments have great influence on our collective consciousness. Anyone who has spent time in crop circles – those not made by Doug and Dave or others – is familiar with the cosmic energies that they embody.

New Crop Circle in Italy arrives at Solstice

Crop circles that arrive in the UK tend to locate in a triangular area in the south west, that includes significant stone circles and megalithic temples sites like Avebury, Silbury Hill, West Kennett and Stonehenge. This is no accident as the land in these areas is filled with particular geomantic alignments that foster the energetic dis-semination within the imprints of the crop circle. It will be interesting to see what crop circle researchers in Italy make of it.

Treating Their Women as Equals

Cherokee People Treating their Women as Equals was Surprising to New Settlers

Europeans arriving in what is now the USA, were astonished to see the Cherokee treating their women as equals in relation to money, politics and theology.

Mother and Child

“Women had autonomy and sexual freedom, could obtain divorce easily, rarely experienced rape or domestic violence, worked as producers/farmers, owned their own homes and fields, possessed a cosmology that contains female supernatural figures, and had significant political and economic power,” she writes. “Cherokee women’s close association with nature, as mothers and producers, served as a basis of their power within the tribe, not as a basis of oppression. Their position as ‘the other’ led to gender equivalence, not hierarchy.”

Solstice Rituals and Ceremonies – Stone Circles and Monuments

Solstice Rituals and Ceremonies occur at almost all Stone Circles and Megalithic Monuments as they link into the energies of the cosmos.

Many track the movements of the Sun and/or Moon, some align to Orion, the Pleiades, Alpha Centauri and Sirius. These monuments and circles demonstrate the astronomical knowledge of our forebears and their profound understanding of the movements of the heavenly bodies, and constellations. They knew how to read time by the heavens and also knew much about their influences on their daily lives. As a result our ancestors regularly performed solstice rituals and ceremonies to enhance their lives, connect to universal and cosmic forces and keep track of the seasons for agricultural purposes ….Read more

Nebra sky disc used by Ancient Astronomers

This Nebra Sky Disc used by Ancient Astronomers, tells us they knew a lot about our Universe and the Cosmos

Nebra sky disc used by ancient astronomers

This is a stunning astronomical tool used during the Bronze Age. When it was first found no-one was sure of its purpose, but research and discussion has suggested that it was used by ancient astronomers, as it shows the Sun, its celestial boat, the Crescent Moon and the Seven Stars of the Pleiades.

Rituals and Ceremonies, 21st June 2014

The Solstice is an Astronomical Event

Creating Rituals and Ceremonies for the 21st June links us into the Cosmos, Earth Energies and our Ancestral Heritage

It hapsolstice 2pens twice a year, in June and December, and occurs when the SUN reaches its highest or lowest point to the celestial equator. Our ancient forebears from the neolithic and megalithic eras were great astronomers and knew all about the movements of the Sun and Moon and almost all their constructions display this knowledge at Equinox and Solstice times. Tomorrow’s Solstice will occur at 10.51 UT time.

To honour this time and our connection to the Sun/Moon – our ancestors performed ceremonies and rituals. Performing rituals and ceremonies are a great way to connect to the natural and celestial worlds and open our hearts to their energies.

It is also a profound way to link into the history of this planet, and the skills of our ancestors. Connecting with the Sun also helps us to remember who we are and where we came from. I will be connecting to the Sun at an ancient energy portal in the southwest, and making a recording of a new sun meditation process. Should be electric! What will you be doing? What kind of rituals and ceremonies will you be performing/creating?

Full Moon energies – Friday 13th June

It’s Friday the 13th and its a full moon!

As someone who was born at midnight on the 12th /13th of October on a full moon, and a Friday, I know a bit about how these energies can influence a life. Add to that the symbolic energies and superstitions of a ‘Black Friday’ and anything can happen, and probably will. People who work in hospitals, police personnel and fire workers also know the kinds of events and emotional outbursts that can be affected by the presence such a moon. I hope you have a great full moon and enjoy the changes and influences it brings. For those of you who are superstitious, throw salt over your left shoulder and all will be well. Alternatively have a dance to Stevie Wonder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjsVWSHw5fQ&feature=kp
